I have to include the /html after domain name to bring up the site

I can't get my web site to display just by typing in the domain name. with just the domain name I get the apache test page. I have to include the /html after the domain name in the adress bar to display the site. I guess I haven't been able to figure out how to unpack the XOOPS site into the right directory. Any suggestions?
I've done a search but can't find help on this issue.

BTW everything else on this site seems to be working so far
