Hi, ive just started using xoops, switched over from e107. I have been looking to run a paid membership site, the only way i can think of doing it without being a coder is to use a dreamaccount type script, and disable registration on xoops. How can this be done? I couldnt find an option to just shut the membership system down.

Another question, ive looked but was unable to find any. Are there any plugins that would allow someone to purchase a membership with paypal, then once they pay, change their group on xoops? This is basically all I need to do.

Tu turn off registration, go to System Admin > Preferences > User Info Settings, and turn to No Allow new user registration?

As for your second question, I never used it personnaly, but check this :
