at this point looks like a clean install would be best. if your former host gets their act together you would then from control panel, phpadmin, drop all tables and then upload from backup. because you have done a clean install you would have your mainfile in order, just a matter of getting your db backup.

i stand to be corrected.

Do you use any db front end like PHPmyAdmin or such tool?
Log into your old host and make a backup of your old db, then in your new host just populate the new empty recently created DB with the old one.

At this point for me would enough if I can get back only my bloks with links.

I don't know where blocks (some basic block I've created with links inside) are stored ? These too in the db lost ?

;(( I think I'll to rebuid all startig from zero ;((
