Well this thread certainly came to life in my absense .

I've had a skim through, and I am pretty certain I am having the same problem as gruessle as far as payments are concerned. The only time I have had the blank page issue was under the curcumstances that bd_cmsc has described in this thread already regarding having the donations block set to display on the donations module page.

My Server Environment:

Windows 2003 Enterprise
IIS 6
PHP 4.3.3
MySQL 4.0.17 nt
Xoops 2.0.6

My Problem;

I have the donations module permissions set to allow all groups access to the donations module. The donations module is set to use the only e-mail address I have setup for use in my Paypal account, however this e-mail address is NOT a Paypal verified address.

When a user submits a donation it shows up in my Paypal account, and I get an e-mail from Paypal saying that a payment has been recieved. However, the donations module shows nothing of the transaction at all, and trying to a Paypal IPN reconcile says there is nothing to import.

Damn I'm a fool sometimes. My e-mail address is confirmed, but I never entered my 4 digit code months ago to verify my Paypal account. Would the fact my Paypal account is unverified be a factor?

I've recieved several donations through this Paypal account, so no problem there. I was just wondering if the fact it is not a verified account might upset something with the Donations module?

not sure that it would, but then again, i only ported it, didn't create it from scratch

hopefully the next release will remedy many of the problems you guys are experiencing

No go. Just dug through my old credit card statements and found my 4 digit code. Still nothing to reconcile according to the treasury section.

Hey all,

It just figures that my power went out last night while I was typing a response

@Brash: First of all, do you have PayPal set up to use Instant Payment Notification? If you're not sure, check here.

That would be my first thing for you to check; if that is set to "Off" or to another IPN page, your donations module will be unable to pick anything up. If you find that it is off, make sure that you turn it on and set the page to
http://www.yoursite.com/modules/donations/ipnppd.php to get the ball rolling.

Test this and see if you can get it to work. Good luck!

nice thought jack, didn't think of that

btw, the IPN url doesn't *have* to point at the donations ipn script. the donations module sends an override when it posts to paypal, telling paypal where to respond

Yup -- but at this point, I'm wondering if it at least needs to have PayPal's IPN turned to "On." If it's off, it may not work at all.
