Hi all
New to xoops, Well I have these modules.
Xoops-2.0.6
PHP
php-4.3.3-6
php-mysql-4.3.3-6
MYSQL
Mysql-4.0.18
Running on Fedora
Apache/2.0.47
Everything from html dir is under /var/www/html/xoops

Database I created for XOOPS is "xoops"
with username = root
password =something
But it takes me to blank page.
I tried everything mentioned in the forums but no luck.
Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance
Aman

check if you have the php-mysql installed properly.

phpinfo should tell you if you have MySQL installed - there should be a section on mysql.

I'm not sure if you checked or not but you can also try the XOOPS Wiki for Troubleshooting a Blank Page.

I had the same simptoms in Knoppix, but in Fedora in was easy to start.
So... simptoms in Knoppix:

1. phpMyAdmin is working very good, but XOOPS is crashes while opening connection with mySQL, so it shows blank (checked with "hello world" method).
2. phpinfo() function gives many info I don't need, and also shows that mySQL name exists only as configure-command.

Now I'm pretty new with Debian, so I was off the ground when I found package configure button in Synaptic

So, with its help checked php4-mysql package to work in php.
It's working

And with phpinfo() I can see the whole section for mysql.

So, it's possible that you have bad configuration, or bad, not all packages.
