Hello, I am very new to PHP, I currently build and edit my website using an online editor provided by my host. I am wanting to change webhosts and I can install XOOPS and other scripts through cpanel with this new host, I was just wondering if I could build an entire site using just XOOPS alone or do I have to have another application such as Dreamweaver also.

The site wouldnt be majorly complex jsut consist of news, downloads, a forum, and other information pages on my favourite entertainer its a fansite type of thing.

I would also like to know if XOOPS is fairly simple for the novice such as my self as I would like to get my site up and running within a week.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Yes, you can do all this (and more) with XOOPS I highly recommend you give the Visual Introduction to XOOPS a good read, so you can get a feeling of what XOOPS is and can do! Have fun!
