I believe the StatCounter owns the logs. Theoretically it could do anything it wants. The company seems to be reputable enough that it will not do such a thing.

Bulls, thanks for sharing. I think I'll give it a try.

oh, where would you place the stat counter? What file would need to be edited? Do I do this from the file manager or from the XOOPS admin panel?

I think it would be a small piece of codes inserted into your theme file. I've not tried it yet, just a guess.

You probably will receive the instruction once you've signed up.

I tried the hack by jac (I believe I got his name right) and the ip image does not show. Does anyone know of a hack for the newest version of the forums. I believe that is what I got. I just installed it yesterday.

If the IP gif doesn't work (it should, but...) you can just use the Smarty tag for the IP and place it somewhere inside the post area, similar to the Comment posts.

Take note of the Smarty conditional tags, though, so that it can only be viewed by admin.
