Hmmm... I thought this forum was for non-xoops topics?

Seems like it's full of XOOPS

I guess xoopers can't stop talking xoops...

non-Xoops topics are in here - as well as some regarding XOOPS

It is hard to break a habit of Xoops-talk

No, we are not very well-endowed in that area. Better change that

I even talk XOOPS at home! I really think there out to be a debriefing forum here ... a place to get weaned off XOOPS talk before leaving the boards. Do you know how frustrating it is to have smarty template code in your mind when you're trying to cook lunch??? Yes I often put butter in the oven instead of the fridge I just call the condition "XOOPISM"

According to my copy of Robert Foster's Complete guide to Middle Earth Mthrandir is Sindarin elvish for 'Grey Pilgrim'. Which is one of the names the People of Middle Earth gave to Gandalf.
Gandalf is one of the Istari (5 beings sent to Middle Earth by the Valar (gods) to unite and counsel the Free Peoples in their struggles against Sauron). As Gandalf the Grey he was the second most powerful of the Order. Gandalf posesses Narya, the third of the Three Rings of the Elves and originally worn by Círdan (elven king), but given to Gandalf when he came to Middel Earth. Narya is the Ring of Fire (the other two rings are worn by Galadriel and Elrond).
The dwarves called him Tharkûn, the Haradrim Incánus, the Rohirrim Gandalf Greyhame. But his real name, given him in Valinor (the land of the Valar) in his youth, was Olórin.

(Although I actually picked up a lot of that from a very good Back To The Future / Lord Of The Rings cross-over story recently!)

(Don't laugh - it's actually a good story indeed :))
