I am using tiny content and I wish to remove the print icon and feature on the bottom of the content pages.

I am incorporating flash pages so that user friendly print option is not working correctly so I just wish to eliminate it. I have tried removing it from the tiny content template but it still appears. Can anyone help me and tell me how to do this.

- Thank you!

I hope I'm not asking something you've already checked but are you editing your default template rather than your working template?

clear your cached template files in templates_c by deleting the files...then refresh the page

hmmm I tried that to no avail.
Is there a way of simply removing the friendly print option? I know the file for the image is print.gif.
But where can I find the edit file since I checked all the files in Tiny Content and even edited them. So I am assuming they may be somewhere else.

Where did you edit the template? In your folder or through the templates administration?

If you did it directly in the TinyContent folder you should update the module in the modules administration after this.

If you go to system admin/templates and list the tincontent files, go to tc_index.html and look for this code:

<a href="print.php?id=<{$id}>"><img src="images/print.gif" border="0" alt="<{$lang_printerpage}>" /></a>

If you have only the default template, you will need to "clone" it to allow the template to be edited. Set up the "clone" as default in general settings.

Edit: Missed chapis..

I removed that line in the tiny content template as suggested but I still get that damn print icon visible even after updating the module.

I want to remove the whole print icon and remove all options to print the page from that icon.

Hello, you just caught me online, hmmm, well removing that line removed it for me? I tried it out on my test site.

Did you try clearing out template_c? Do you have a cache switched on for the module?

updating the module can overwrite your changes, depends on how you edited it? Check that the code has actually been removed in system admin/templates

Damn this is really stressing me out....
For the life of me, i cant understand why that stupid print button still appears and is still active.

I need this print button to be sleeping with the fishes / dead in the water! :)

So please, please, please tell us where you edited the template? Did you do this in the templates administration? Then be sure that you edited the template of the template set which is selected in your site preferences. If you edited the templates directly in the templates folder of TinyContent, you have to update the module after this in your modules administration.

Which way did you go?
