Yes! I need to have my logged in users stay logged in for much longer than they do now. I'd like the expire time for the cookie to be sixhours at least!
I just did a search on this issue and found nothing useful. Perhaps I'm not searching with the right keywords. Any one game to help us on this one?

By the way Dach-at, your English is VERY good. Buch better than my French!

A bientot.

Thanks Dave_L. This is good info.
However, I don't want the auto log in feature. I would like to extend the time at which the system logs you off for idle time. For example, if I am working on a seperate project and come back to my browser window (for my web site) that I have kept open and I will have been logged off.
How do I modify the site to keep from having to log back in so frequently? How can I extend the time for the cookie to expire?
Thanks for your help.

Increase the value for "Session expiration" under System Admin >> Preferences >> General Settings.

Hi, Dave_L.
Thanks for your answer to my call for help.
Yes, I did set it higher there but it did not help. It still logs users out it seems like every 30 minutes if they aren't activley using the page. I wonder what the default value for the cookie expiration time is?
Help... anyone?
Thank you.

Hmmmm ...

Check all the cookies that XOOPS sets, and verify that their expiration times were affected by changing that config parameter.
