I have installated XOOPS 2.0 and I would like that in home page there was the last news released.
Instead that the visualization of the "news of the day" with the alone description of news title, I would like that it was visualized the title, the image and the description. Not the all text of news.
How can I do for visualization of DETAIL (upper described ) ?
And .. How can I do for set this in home page?
Thanks a lot for support.

Regards,
Valeria

Welcome to the community! I hope you'll enjoy your stay.

The easiest way is to set the news module as the startpage module in the system admin -> preferences -> general settings page.

Hi,

thanks a lot for your answer.
I try to set according to your suggestion ... but...in this mode I can't set the spefic "detail" (title, image and description) for only last news.
In this mode, I see the page of news. All the newses! It's correct?
Can I ask you what it is the hard way?
There is a module specific for this?
Regards,

Valeria

Search for the spotlight module. Perhaps this is more like what you want.

You can see it at the site of the developer, catzwolf.

http://wfsections.xoops2.com

At the top from "Spotlight News" including the line with Mini-Stats, this is the spotlight module.

Below this, you can see the normal news module at this site. But if you don't select the newsmodule als startmodule, only the spotlight block will be seen.

Hi all,
nobody, before now has developed the code in so far as?
It's very difficult....to have "the news of today" opened and where is not visible only the test, but also other detail...???
I think that with a modification code of news_block_bigstory.html file, is easy than import a new module...
What you thoughts?
Thanks a kind regards,
