hi,

there, found xooopps on powertools o server

superb,similiar to our exsisting front page but lot better laid out etc

anyways

i'm starting to get to grip o it but

WHEN i replace the banner.swf file in my server to a jpg pic i need to rename it still .swf, it changes the image but after a while the swf comes back

xoops allows u to create ad client accounts if you wasn't aware..

go into admin, system block and then select banners..

create an account for yourself..

then u can simply create a new banner, upload whatever banner you want to any folder.. and point the url to the banner you want to use..

if you don't want the default XOOPS banners then delete the ones from the XOOPS client account in the banners section..

yes it does a bit , thanks

i was referin more to the banner in the header

managed to get mine on but for some reason when you view a news story for example it doesn't show it the size i'm wanting , lovely themes and layout

what size are you wanting it? it should show the size of the banner submitted..

the standard banners are 468x60 i just looked at ur site altho it's closed.. i'm a little confused..

do you actually mean the banner? or the harp logo you have on there?

thanks Not too shy to talk, ive keep site closed as its only early stages of it..

I've opened it to let you see the banner i'm reffering to harp is fine as is banner on main front page,when you click on a news story the "white" banner i want same as main page {confused smiley}

try adding this line to your theme style.css

.navbar {margin-right: 10px;}

that seems to have done the trick mate, thank you very mucho

[size=x-large]arghhh[/size]spoke too soon, it keeps coming back tae haunt me...lol

no mate that never worked either, its strange and beginning to piss me off, sometimes the banner i want shows up perfectly yet other times its like its trying to load the original xoop flash .swf file

ok i think ur a lil confused and that in turn confused me..

is this image the one you are referring to as your banner >

if it is then this isn't a banner and should not be treated as a banner.. banners and the banner code are entirely seperate things and are defined in admin/preferences/banners

if you want the above image displayed on all your pages as a header logo..

change this part in your theme.html

<{$xoops_banner}>
