Restrict access to phpstat directory

Hi
I am currently running phpstat (which I find excelent) and have a link to it only visible to admin's in XOOPS main menu. Right now, anyone can go into this directory directly and I would like to restrict access only to people coming from XOOPS through that particular link. Is this possible?

i dunno about allowing only XOOPS users, but u cud simply just password protect the folder using .htaccess if ur host server allows it.. most do..

for more info on .htaccess try this link it gives a step by step guide to using htaccess..

part 3 tells u how to create the password file etc..

u cud then issue users with the username and password for it...

I have been using .htaccess but was wondering if there was some other way so that the admin's didn't have to login twice, once in XOOPS and another on .htaccess.

You could rename it, and only allow certain groups a link to it - via multimenu?

just a thought.

I actually use that AND .htaccess together. I guess I'm probably just being paranoid about security......
