i have downloaded the phpBB2_XoopsBB_converter.sql and i need to use it. but i can't seem to be able to make it work. it says i need to do a dump on the phpbb and then restore on the newbb. but i can't find the last option. i have the phpbb database but i don't know how i can add it to the XOOPS database. please help me. need it quickly

After you have done a dump of the phpBB2 tables, then imported them into your XOOPS db, run the converter as a mySQL query.

Having said that, I have been trying to do the same thing using a test installation of XOOPS and am getting errors. I am still trying to work them out.

Does anyone have a script that will work for converting phpBB2 to newBB2? The old script is for newBB1. Note that I have tried using it for both a newBB1 and a newBB2 installation.
