YUP! got xoops! and i have the html folder ready on my desktop i just dont know where to put it.


I've connected with an FTP server before with fragism using
smart ftp, anyway...

Ive just done it now and it is not working
i think its becuase my domain is active, i bought it about
18 hours ago.
Ill tell ya when its working !

ok max100,

Once you are able to connect to your server we are in business, the biggest part is uploading your files, after that it is plain sailing--if you have the correct account details, XOOPS almost installs itself..

max100, your in good hands with jackj. Stick with it. No I have not used scripta and I probably won't and all my scripts are already accounted for. You can find all the scripts by going to your Cpanel and clicking the Scripta icon (penguin) There's loads of stuff there including XOOPS. I've already used their forums and had very fast intelligent response. I also keep checking their server status and it's rock solid with no overheads. Loking good...eh?

Yeh but richard! it says it wants me to install it to a directory path! i dont know what thats for.

this is the domain http://www.safclan.co.uk (at the moment it is to linked to my old site)
that i want to link to my hosting thing, server.
in the domain control panel that you get with the domain company (not surpass) it gives me the choice to redirect my domain, but where to!

and how do i install xoops?
with scripa i do not need an FTP program?
