I was wondering.

This hack is great !!. But what i like is other names for the short url's

so if you have :

http://www.site.com/m-news+index+.html

i'd like to have :

http://www.site.com/dv-nieuws+index+.html

or

http://www.site.com/m-xoopspartners+index+.html

into

http://www.site.com/dv-collega+index+.html

So it's translated without modify every module to my language.

is this possible ??

Hi Bela... I was wondering what hack you used on aboutMJ that gives you the custom rewrite in the address bar?
Your url starts off with m... How can I customize my urls?
I have v0.3 of short urls installed on my site.
Can you post the code where you modified reynaldo's script?

Also you have a nice title bar hack in place. Which hack did you use and how did you go about setting it up?
Do you have

<{$xoops_sitename}> :: <{$xoops_pagetitle}>

set up like this?

<{$xoops_pagetitle}> :: <{$xoops_sitename}>

Hi Renaldo,

First a big thank-you for the shorturls hack. This is not only a really good hack, but easy to implement.

I have one small problem... The news urls ar not being converted. I still get http://houseofstrauss.co.uk/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1

There is also a similar problem with xcgal like this http://houseofstrauss.co.uk/modules/xcgal/index.php?cat=10001

I use version shortURLs_0.3_

The only mods I have done is in loadpage.php I do not have a specific sartpage so I have coded //Starpage ="";// where there used to be "news"

Another little bug here ... I'm running a version of the very nice XooperStore module. Since installing Reynaldo's hack all Xooperstore module links return the same page. The correct URLs showin the status bar just before the divert. My site link is xooperstore

Has anyone tested its impacts on speed?

only two sites listed above have this hack activated, both seem a little slow.
I am not sure if it is caused by the preg_replace used by this hack.
or just because cache not enabled for the two sites?

Interesting comment phppp, My impression is that my pages load considerably faster for some reason !
