Frontpage change??? - Only modules work?

Ok I am trying to use a page I create for my front index page instead of the module options they give you. But for the life of me, I just cant do it.

The only options I see is for modules to be loaded as a front page between the left & right sections. But not for a new generated page.

Anyone know how to get past that?

If you choose in general settings to have no modules load on startup, then you would need to place your html code in a centre-center custom block.

You can also set up a one-page custom module, and insert your own HTML.
