help badly needed! cant view posts in the forum

I can make new posts but i (and other users) can't view posts.

the site is configured to display comments in FLAT mode.

the newbb_pro's installed version is 1.02.

PHP Debug set to on. Results when viewing a thread:

Parse error: parse error in /home/z/public_html/ismash/templates_c/db%3Anewbb_thread.html on line 85

i looked into the templates_c directory, and found that all files are prefixed with "db%3A".

Kinda weird right?

Maybe you can delete the newbbpro files in the template_c folder.

Also check through admin settings templates if the installed templates are those of newbbpro

you mean, it's safe to delete files inside the template_c directory?

i really am wondering about the "db%3A" prefixed files.

"db%3A" is normal. %3A is the ASCII code for ":". The compiled templates are prefixed with "db:" because the template source files come from the database.

It's safe to delete the files in templates_c, since they'll be regenerated as needed. Don't delete the index.html file, though, since that helps prevent people from viewing the directory listing.

I already delete the files. No luck there. :(

If I update the module (using the update button under admin control panel >modules) what would it do? will it delete the existing threads/messages in the board?

i FTP'd into the site to check the files and I got the message saying "File Type: can't stat `db:newbb_thread.html'"

the same file is listed as "db%3Anewbb_thread.html"

No.

Did you check through admin control panel / settings /template / newbbpro templates the content of the templates?

I just did. I can view it, but what am I supposed to be looking for?

Sorry for what may seem like dumb questions, am still a newbie with XOOPS and CMS

i "updated" it but the error is still there. :(

i decided to bite the bullet and re-install everything. :(

i'm still testing out the forums anyway, but i hope this doesn't re-occur when i open my site to the public. :|
