Hi all,
I've recently found that expired news aren't 'real' expired, I find them via search block or when I uses the direct link http://.../modules/news/article.php?storyid=1. Is this a general bug or a bug just in my web (2.0.6 version)? Any ways to change this behaviour?

Regards,
JohnDoo

Sure you can find it using the search, as it can also be found in the archives (as it isn't deleted, just no longer has any 'news' value). So no, it's not a bug, and yes you can remedy it by adding the expired < time() to the search query somewhere.

The way news expiration works is just to 'delete' it from the pages of the news module, i.e. you cannot read it by browsing the news. It would, however, be available in the archives, by direct links, and by site searches.

If you want to totally delete it, from News and database, you have to do that from the admin.

Hope this helps!
