How do I get my Links catagories to appear above my forum

How do I get my Links catagories to appear above my forum.

You see all I want to start the site out with is links and a forum nothing else initially. I do however want all the link catagories to appear above the forum. I have the default page set to the forum and that works great. Now I need the links catagories to appear above that.

Please, I have looked in the documentation and have not been able to figure it out.

add new block up the newbb or try to edit newbb template

Sorry to be such a dork but your jargon did not clarify anything for me. I am not familiar with XOOPS Jargon yet. Someone please clarify.

There is no 'automatic' way of doing that. There is no block you can use to display the Link Categories. What you need to do is to create a custom block and have it displayed on top of your forum (a.k.a. NewBB module). This would display the custom block on all pages of the forum.

For the pages to display only in the Forum index page, you might need to edit the newbb_index.html file in your template set and 'hard code' those link categories into the file.

Please do experiment with the admin functions and search the forums, especially about custom blocks and editing templates.

I thank you, all I was really looking for was a link to the relevant documentation.

I have been getting into the admin functions and I think I know now what needs to be done, thank you.

I am just new to your CMS and am unfamiliar with the jargon. Just a one word link to the docs is plenty usually.

Basic installation, troubleshooting and usage as well as file structure for development purposes are ok'ish documented. We are still waiting for some more in-dept and better documentation (which the documentation team is working hard on, they say )
