Cookie problem?

I have this problem with my cookies, when you login in to my XOOPS site, all goes well. it keeps you logged in, but when you close the browser and again go to my XOOPS site it will not remember that you are / were logged in, thus I had to login each and every time to change something.

Does anyone have a patch or something, or any idea to fix this problem?

This is done because otherwise the session would be open, and that would eat database resources. The cookie is to remember your ligin name, not your password (unless you're using the auto-login hack -do a seach for auto login and you'll find a LOT of info about that).
