I have an idea for a mod that I think can help XOOPS for advertising. There is a programmer called the pinger for a game I play called Black Hawk Down. The program can search all the servers for a player or a server. I can get someone this program, I was wondering if it can be made into a module. I am also willing to get money donated to the site.

No I meant with this if XOOPS came out with it first it would be big in the BHD world. A lot of squads use php like phpnuke. I would advertise having this with xoops.

It might be as simple as sticking the code in a custom block. It depends on exactly what the code does.

You want to port a non-web application to a php XOOPS module? That's the first I have heard of this. I don't know if it is impossible or not, but it most certainly is difficult, yes. The whole programming language and architecture is different, for starters.
