Converting an 1.3 theme to 2.0

Hello folks,


I am switching from 1.3 to 2.0.6 and I wish to convert my current theme to be used by x2. Is there any guideline to follow to do this? currently my own progress ends into a disaster The theme I'm working on (make it destructing) is ac3blue (v1.2)

If anyone -has- this theme already converted can I...? Or just some help converting would be ok as well.

The wiki provides a great overview of the theme system and should be of some assistance. From here you can learn more about how the smarty system works and such.

Basically all you need is your old theme tables cleared out completely and then insert the appropriate XOOPS 2 codes where you want them displayed.

I sure would if I could make any sense of the old file theme.php including scripts, and put them into theme.html and where shall I put those php script? The CSS file seems to no problem (yet)

Ahh, I see. I never worked with pre 2.0 versions, so I never considered that it would be that different. You could copy and paste your view source into an editor and delete everything you see until you have the layout you want for your blocks.

It may actually just be a bit easier to open an editor and start from scratch using the images you have on file for your layout.
