Hi,

In several modules there is a "email" button, which opens up your local email client with a mailto: link instead of executing a popup to mail it from the site or taking you to a recommend page or something like that.

The mailto: can very inconvenient for users who are not at their regular home PC. They may not want to use their work email account to recommend a site, or they may be at a public terminal where a local email client isnt setup, or on someone elses PC etc. This is why many sites have an inbuilt email function or use some perl or php script.

Is there a hack/script that can replace the email function across all modules in XOOPs to do this ? Or if not, atleast for some modules ?

Or failing that, I assume it is possible to setup a php recommend script in a block, in which case, is it possible to deactivate the email function in news, articles and anywhere else in XOOPS altogether ?

Thanks,

amok
