I've been tinkering with a block template.
I saw there was an edit link in the admin of each blocks.
I can edit it, and view and the changes are there, but when i closed the preview.. there is no save button to click? on a 'view' button.

Question 1: An idea why that is?

So... I tried to edit the template on my local computer and uploaded a new version of the template into the directory of the orig.
But still the changes won't take place.

Question 2: What am I missing?

Also (and I don't truly understand webservers, But I'm wondering whats the difference between the folders and files in 'www' folder and the files in my 'public_html' folder? (im in a shared LAMP hosting situation)

Question 3:

Anyone care to enlighten me on what the diff is between the WWW folder and the PUBLIC_HTML folder?

Ok.. I got it. I had to clone my default template, now i can edit to my hearts... delight.

But if someone could answer this for me I'd appreciate it.

www is probably a symbolic link to public_html. That's how it's set up on my server. A symbolic link is similar to a Windows shortcut.

So where does one typical make changes? in the www folder or the public folder?

It doesn't matter. It should be the same folder. Try creating a file in one place, and the same file should be visible in the other.
