I have modified mydownloads module to use group permissions.
Downloads and categories without permission will be hide to the user and he can't search or view it.

File upload is avaible too. I think all modules must have group permissions.

Here is it.

Very cool samuels ! This is something I've been meaning to do with the WMPDownloads module for a quite a few months now, but just haven't had the time to sit down and look at. I'll be having a look at your module tonight when I get home for sure.

This sounds very nice. I will download it have a look at it later. Looks useful for a site I am contemplating.

And yes, I agree. All modules should have group permissions.

Hi samuels,

I´ve tested your modificated module. Great!
Too bad, I still have some problems.
The upload of the screenshots works ok.
It tranfers the pictures into the right file: modules/mydownloads/images/shots/

But it isn´t shown in the download-section. The path of the screen shot is directed to modules/mydownloads/.
Sorry, I don´t know how to modify it to the correct path.
I bet ya can help.

Thanks in advance

Marc

@bapapapa
About your problem, i think you forgot activate "use shots" in mydownloads config panel.

I've found a bug, users can't upload shots.
Just add this to submit.php:

After line

include_once XOOPS_ROOT_PATH '/modules/' $xoopsModule->dirname() . '/class/mimetype.php';

Add

include_once XOOPS_ROOT_PATH "/class/uploader.php";

First - I like this module, great work.

I have a problem, and I'm not sure if I'm stupid, or do not understand the workings of this module.

In the 3rd field from the top -
Download URL: (with the browse button), I specify the file I want to upload. Why don't I see the file in my uploads directory as specified in Admin config?
I checked permissions on dir.

Thanks

What kind of file?. Be sure required mymetipes are activated on admin panel.

Can you activate php debug? It can be helpful for resolving the problem.

Upload feature is from Mydownloads RC1, (very buggy module). But i've tested on my site and it runs.

Hi

it's a doc file.
Selected all in "Allowed Mimetypes for Upload" and set my uploads directory to "modules/mydownloads/uploads".
The doc file I tried to upload did not upload.
PHPdebug shows nothing.

Am I correct to assume the uploaded .doc file should reside in http://localhost/demo/html/modules/mydownloads/uploads if I set my uploads dir. as described above?

Thanks
