hello

i've just installed xoops, everything's fine but when i try to edit any of the site preferences, i get blank pages.

second question... i've added the french language and i can't find where to modify the language into french now... maybe it's in "site preferences" :p

I have no idea why you get blank pages.

Try logging in on your site and then type this URI in your browser:

http://YOUR-SITE/modules/system/admin.php?fct=preferences&op=show&confcat_id=1

Do you still get a blank page?

It is by the way where you should setup the default language for your site.

thanks for your help, it was the URL of the site preferences I had too, but it still doesn't work. I got couple more blank pages so i guess i'm gonna try to re-install it... damn i can't wait to get into this XOOPS that all my friends keep telling me about :)

yeah rastafarai...

after 4 reinstallation (always the same way, first deleting all files from www folder then re-uploading XOOPS 2.0.6 then reinstalling it after getting rid of the tables), i finally succeeded. I had several different weird sometimes scary error messages, but this 4th times, everything went well and i'm currently taking care of my preferences and design...

again, long live xoops... :p

Sounds like you ran into some bad luck as you had to do it four times.
