New install - upgrade - problem

By mistake I've installed complete 2.0.6 instead of upgrade (I used to run 2.0.5.x).

What should I do now? If I go on with installation will I lost my data (forums, photos,...)? Will my database be lost?

why would you want to install?
By uploading the complete 2.0.6, you've got the files, you need.

The Installation only sets up the database details, admin user and creates the database tables.

AFAIK there have not been any database structure changes, so everything should be in order as long as you re-check the permissions, mainfile contents and remove the install directory.

Did you run the INSTALL? Or just copy it over?
If you run the install it creates new DB and or checks for one.

But first

I would dig into your db...immediately and check records....see what data is there...back it up too...

Always make a back up of you DB...

Wait for a dev. to offer suggestios if you copied over....shouldnt be a problem...

I didn't run it since I don't know MySQL username and password.

I'll get them and make backup...
