Is it possible to split news on main page on 4,6 or 8 parts so that in each part news from one topic would be shown. Is there some module that could do that? I'd like it to look something like this

I tried to install that module. After installation I got module called "Syndication". Is that it?

This seems like RSS module to me. I'd like to organize news from my site so that all categories would be visible on main page but divided in 4, 6, or 8 cells (depending on number of categories).

I'd like my site to look like http://www.lykoszine.co.uk/

Thats what I'm trying to get. Maybe even few sentences for each news would be good.

Did I get something wrong?

News divided into topics in main display. How they look (how many columns etc.) can be changed by editing the templates - which I haven't done yet.
Is that, what you were looking for?

It's a sneak peak on the next version of the News module, which I am developing. I'm currently waiting for some discussions to finish among module devs and core devs regarding waiting contests and some other things.

If you really like it, I can release an intermediary version - which will work, but not entirely as it should. For instance, the approving/editing of news is still handled by the current code and won't be as intuitive as I like it, but it works just as well as the current version.
