I've found several posts on a signup, or LAN party module, however there are never any clean leads to ones that actually work.

They are all either people begging for such a module, or people that kinda whipped something up from a hacked module that was a hack itself,

there is a thread recently posted about a lan module here but no link, and it looks like it needs some help.

There is even supposed to be an event module here but upon installing it things quickly fall apart for this module.

there is talk of an event module by the XOOPS module dev team here but the page is defunct, and no notice on when they will be back up...

this is the conclusion to my dry search for a simple event module. If anyone has any more info please post it here, and I'm sure a lot of people would be greatful for a working, well written, event signup module...

You may want to look at AgendaX by wjue. I'm not sure if this will meet your requirements though. Heres the link, give it a shot and maybe you can find a use for it.

This is a calendar/event listing.. I have that currently running, however wht I need(and a lot of other people from the all the reading I did) is a simple module that will take an event (manually entered) with a set amount of seats and allow people to signup for it, a paypal function would be awesome as well, but I'm not gonna hold my breath :)

This could be used for concerts, seminars, lan parties, etc etc.. the fields could be a simple as

Name
E-mail address
Paid (admin fucntion with the options of yes/no)

a simple block could show the event name, and the number of attendees possible and signed up i.e. 50/100

it seems like a lot of people have tinkered with something like this, but they seem to have never comleted it, or got it working well within the XOOPS environment

I only wish I had the dev skills to work on something like this in PHP, but I'm sadly lacking in that language.

Perhaps the XOOPS module dev team could shed some light on this phantom event module?
