Mainfile.php Problems.

I Recently downloaded and installed Xoops,
i installed it fine, and all that, but the problem i cant get past is the error messages
it asks me to delte the install folder, done and fine no problem
then it says that mainfile.php is writable by the server
and to change the permissoins, and i done that, but i still cant get past it,
,Any Suggestions
the error message i get is
WARNING: File /home/www/myhost/xoops/html/mainfile.php is writeable by the server.
Please change the permission of this file for security reasons.
in Unix (444), in Win32 (read-only)

What operating system does the server running your XOOPS install run?

just ignore it as its just a warning until you get it sorted out (check you hit apply when you put it off read-only)

Yeah but when i do ignore that every time i try to use any administration options it says premature script headings,
and my permissions are clearly set correctly,
oh yeah and what do u mean when u say hit apply on read only,, LOL am confused
(reply to the other guy,,,,,,,,,i use Unix if thats what u mean)

I think you need to chmod to 644 from 777

3 = write and execute (1+2)
4 = read only
5 = read and execute (4+1)

7 = read and write and execute (4+2+1)
Permissions are given using these digits in a sequence of three: one for owner, one for group, one for world.
