It still hasn’t been converted to XOOPS and it probable will never be.

The reason? - Well, no one didn't find it useful!!!

Honestly, it would be great to see it in xoops.

Any Info on this!? Anyone!?

This script set is based on some ideas that came up while using some tracking devices online. The use of Flash in this case made a lot of sence since it alows to display the coordinates and user data more dynamic and the performance and display speed is much better than in a DHTML solution.

This script set is developed for PhpNuke Portal System.

You can see here (it's official web site) :

Yeah, it is!
I don't think it would be too hard, although it would be independant of the profile field (which would be an awesome touch if that ever happened).

Another option would be to integrate a ping to GeoURL
( http://geourl.org/ ) and then track out of that. While probably not the best solution, it is still a pretty awesome thing.

Incidentally, the Flash Script took far too long on my computer and caused it to hang. It might be simply because of the sheer number of dots it was trying to mark.

Once again though, a very cool module, and would be a nice addition to Xoops, though I'm not sure if we would need anything quite so ... flashy. (Forgive the bad pun)

Yes it looks very nice, the only downfall for me is when I look at the actual data. It is not correct for countries like the Netherlands and Austria.
Besides looking nice, it should also give correct data.
(Get me right, I don't wanna spoil the fun here, I just noticed this)

Aloha

Derya of myxoops.org made one early beta-xoops-module of wherebisdu, but further development stopped.

Maybe I'll find the module somewhere on my computer and post a link for those who want to work on this module.

Someone interested?

Well, probable it would be easier to reconfigure the existing XOOPS module instead of converting something from another platform. Anyway, Francis if you have anything like this that was working under earlier versions of XOOPS - please provide.

Thanks!
