When you install Xoops, you're supposed to chmod the uploads, cache and templates_c folders to 777. The mainfile.php file to 666.

There was one more thing, I though I could find it myself but I'm not able to. How can I change the limit of characters in sigs?







To answer the questions how big my community is. At its height there was over a few hundred members. And I am using flat because they are used to the Invision Board style.

You can do it in your MySQL database. Click the users table and then click the change link beside the user_sig field and change tinytext to mediumtext. That should allow for more characters in your users' signatures.

I don't there is one set actually. It would take more then just setting a limit in the prefs or adding code. I think you would have to modify a couple of the module php files to set this. I'm not sure where to start for something like that though, perhaps it's something we can add to the 'would like to see' list for later versions.
