What happens to unanswered posts?? On a busy forum they quickly slip off the 'recent topics' list and lose priority. This may have nothing to do with their content, but rather the habits of the way people use forums.

SUGGESTION: all unanswered posts collect in their own section called ... erm, 'unanswered posts'

As a webmaster I would like the opportunity to catch all these and send an acknowledgement and thank-you to the members with the encouragement to post again.

Over time you have a board with a lot of these "orphaned" posts. Many users won't use the Search which might resurrect some of these. I think the feature you suggest could be part of a Purge function so cleanup is easier.

"Show me all the stale posts so I can decide what stays and what gets dumped"
