Verify for Manual Signups

I know there's already a feature for this, and it says that it requires "GD". I've tried to use this feautre and it doesn't work, so I guess I don't have "GD". So... what's gd?

GD is an image library, and verification for manual signups doesn't require GD. Unless you mean on some other softwares, who use an image with numbers to verify signups. But not XOOPS. Not just wrong forum then, but wrong site

No, it's for xoops. So then are there any bugs or anything that would cause the feature to now work?

XOOPS doesn't have the image-with-numbers-verification-on-signup feature implemented at all. That would be the biggest cause for the feature not to work right now. You could use the 'webmaster will approve all signups' option in the user settings of the system admin -> preferences.

Correct, which is the area I am talking about. I actually never said anythingabout image-with-numbers-verification, so I don't even know what your talking about there.
Moving on.
And where is this setting in preferences... the only thing I see if the feature I'm trying to use which says (again) and I quote "Verify for manual signups? Requires GD!"

I couldn't find that anywhere in XOOPS 2.0.5.1.

I don't know what he's talking about either. It can't be Xoops. Maybe it's e-xoops?
