Simple Counter Module

I am trying to us simple counter, but it does not seem to be collecting data. I am looking for a simple hit counter that tells me how many people visit my site day to day, I really don't want or need fancy reporting. I have simple counter install, but I can't figure out why it is not gathering data. I did follow this install doc so I did do the update, but it still does not seem to be collecting data. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You could add the html code for a simple netstat counter in your footer. I believe netstat (http://www.nedstatbasic.net/) makes a difference between number of unique users and number of pagehits.

That site is very cool and I think that I will give it a try but does anyone know what I might be doing wrong with the simple counter module? Thanks

If I wanted to use the site that was recommend where in the footer would I add the HTML? Thanks

Just go to admin, system admin, preferences. Add the html code to the footer by clicking on 'meta and footer'.

I also added my netstat icon by adding:
<a target="_blank" href="http://v1.nedstatbasic.net/stats?BLAHBAHBLAH"><img src="http://m1.nedstatbasic.net/n?id=BLAHBLAHBLAH" border="0" nosave width="12" height="12">a>


Insert your personal code where it says BLAHBLAHBLAH. Note that i've resized the image. (I found it too big for my website).
