Help i installed XOOPS 2.5.1 from my fantastico installer from my webhosting companies cpanel, also installed manually and everything works fine when i put it in a folder of its own. But if i put everything into the root directory (/home/user/public_html/) when you go to add news it gives you the page to type it in then when you hit the submit button it makes the link go to http:////modules//news.php etc etc and it doesnt work.. how do i fix this? please reply asap the site is pretty large and needs to get back going

Check your mainfile.php, it should have the correct values for the absolute physical path, and the XOOPS root url in them. These values are used to create the URL's, and in your description, the root URL is missing.

ALso, we've seen a lot of people with errors on a fantastico install, sad enough. You might want to use the XOOPS installer instead.
