grrrrrrrrrrr

I hate when wonderful modules exist only to find out that they do not work with globals off....

This is a worthwhile module can anyone help make this compatable with globals off?

My current Fatal Error is from the /admin/gest-cat.php line 250

But this is probably a mute point since I heard it doesn't work with globals off anyways. And may not exist after that...

-Thanks
Your wisdom is greatly respected!

I am at a complete loss...
,
I have searched high and low...from west to east and can't find a globals off-version of myads in any of its variances..(myanonce etc.)

So when something doesn't work with globals off...many people fix it. Where would I START in tracking down the "various" steps necassary to make this module compatable with globals off?

Please direct me to some literature if you think it may help...
THanks all!

Where to begin to make this module work with globals off?

Which variables do I need to explore?
If anyone can at least provide me with some article to read I would be much appreciative....

Thank you!

OK..how bout this...
why would something not work with globals off?
Beca certain variables yeah?
So which one might be excluding this module...

Things can stop working with register_globals off because of a thing called "security". Best to make it work with globals off.

Myads isn't a core XOOPS module so you need to contact the author of the module. I don't know this module at all but others I've tried had a Forums area on their site for questions and bug fixes. Try there?

I made MyAds compatible with register_Globals off.

Only few of it is Japanese specification.
Probably, it can use also except the Japanese area.

Please try.

Tom_

Thank you! I will test it out tonight and share with everyone here how it goes...

If it works...or any mods need to be made...then Ill suggest that...otherwise...we may have a new download available of this fine module!

-Cheerz!

TOM_!

Great job! It appears to be working with globals off now!!
WHOOHOO!Thanks!

-You should submit this to the downloads section. It's a powerful module!

-A quick ?
-What mods did you do that are specific for you?
That is will a feature occur that I don't want? Or need? The only thing I noticed was the currency symbol...otherwise seems fine so far....

Finally this module looks pretty admin friendly but could be a bit confusing...Has anyone compiled a How TO?

(it is not very difficult to figure out however...very user friendly)

Great Job again! And thanks to all involved on this module!
