Whoa back there Per4orm.
You misunderstood me, I think XOOPS is an awesome bit of gear and that me, myself and I had buggered up the session settings, THAT! made it a script problem.

As for my hoster, meh, ya prolly right and I will pass on the note re: php.ini etc.

Will also try your idea of repetive logging in.

No ideas for a backdoor to admin page?
Personally I think its in my sytem module, but i cant get in to fix.

Can you try reuploading your include/checklogin.php file again? I just registered to your site and it seems to me that it's not recognizing logins. So the file above may be corrupted.

I registered as well - same problems. Hey... this isn't a ploy to get loads of members is it? lol! I would recomend slightly altering the theme though... the input boxes are a nightmare to find!

looking into the checklogin now, CBlue.
yeh, theme needs tweaking, Per4orm.

Did I mention that this was installed via Fantastico.
I already fixed the error in the DB re: sitename and slogan
But as i say, been working fine for days, only went belly-up yesterday arvo.

AND... I did an upgrade to 2.0.5 then to 2.0.5.1 two days ago.

arbaronx, there have been alot of new XOOPS users posting about script errors that use Fantastico. Most of their problems have been solved by reuploading pages and then updating their system module through modules admin.

But since you can't get to your system admin, you will have to hope that by just reuploading files, that will fix your problem.

If you get the error still after reuploading checklogin.php, try uploading it after first deleting the copy on your server first. Overwriting a file may not always work. Sometimes I can't get files to overwrite and have to delete the server side ones first before uploading them into their folders.

If still after following all of these instructions, you can't login, then also upload a fresh copy of the user.php that goes into the XOOPS root directory.

And, Cblue, if after that all else fails and i still get no joy, I may have to start from scratch, and do a full install.
And that wont be too bad a thing as XOOPS is such fun to use, LOL.
Thanks to all you blokes for you help. Very muchly appreciated.

Well, what CAN I say?
I removed the fantastico installed XOOPS completely, d/l'd XOOPS 2.0.5.1, did a complete install. All well so far.
Uploaded a theme karate_redux_blue, just to have a look-see, went to sys admin/prefs/gen sets, selected the theme, OK.
Went to homepage, BLANK page. What the smeg?
