Hey everyone. Looking for a little help here. I am trying to remove the logo and center the banner on the main page. I am using the default theme with XOOPS 2. I want to use the banner feature to display an animated logo, but the banner is off center. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the themes/default/ folder, you'll find a file called theme.html

Look for, and remove the following line:

Quote:

I think it's line 28 if I remembemer rightly...

Now you'll have to go into general preferences in the admin menu and where it says:

Quote:
Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?

select "yes". When you go back to your homepage, the XOOPS logo should have gone, and your banner should be in the center.

i have a slightly different request... i wanted to replace the standard logo with my own, so after looking in {FORUM}/themes/default/ i found:

<td id="headerlogo"><a href="<{$xoops_url}>/"><img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>logo.gif" width="150" height="80" alt="" />a>td>

and replaced "logo.gif" with "myownlogo.jpg".

I then FTPd theme.html back up to my server in the same location it was originally from, but i cannot find where i'm supposed to "initialize" it...

which section of General preferences am i supposed to go to exactly? i can't find the "Update..." option anywhere.

Thanks in advance,
Hobbs.

If you look 3 posts above this one you'll find what you need to change in general settings if you've changed a theme file and the update doesn't appear automatically.
