I see frequently something i'd like to implement but basically being a newbie to XOOPS I am having technical difficulty, so am coming to group for your experiences.

if you visit sites like http://gordon.farsus.dk/modules/mydownloads/topten.php?rate=1

you will see a nice (outta-da-box) left navigation section on the left, content in middle, right area for more modules.
that is straightforward enuff...what i dont know how to do is create a nice horizontal navigation bar under the top banner. that is the mystery .

anyone know how to do this? is it a custom module?

The way I've done it is just to hard-code the theme.htm file with the URL's. The drawback is that the menu doesn't automatically update if you change modules.
