Go to the general preferences page, and choose MySQL debug for the debugging option. And then try posting again to see if any error message will be displayed in the debug window.

Admin Pannel seems to be screwed now, click submit and it just reloads the same page

Check the integrity of your database and the cache directory on your server, because if the adminmenu.php file is missing in the cache folder, then the admin gives this screen...
