I have what is I hope a very simple question.

I need to remove all the links to register.php on the site as I only want to allow certain members from other sites to join.

The problem? I can't find the 2 pages wehre this code is :) HELP!

It shows in two areas that I can find. At the initial index.php page, and then again if you mess up logging in.

**On a side note this is the first time I have used XOOP, I am no programmer, but capable of editing, this was one of the easiest installs I have EVER done! I can't wait to see where you end up taking this!

Welcome m8

You can do that by editing the system templates:
Go to System Admin / Templates, then click List on the System line.
1st one is system_block_login.html (just remove the last link)
then in system_userform.html, remove the following line (that's the "messed login" page ):
<{$lang_notregister}>

But even if you do that, people will still be able to access the "register.php" page by entering the address manually. So don't forget to remove this file also (in the site root).

Ok, inside the admin area I found the area you are talking about. There is only the option to "View" but not to edit.

So thinking to fix things I went to modules/system/templates and edit the files you spoke of, however nothing changed :)

Any suggestions? Feeling goofy, but I really can't figure out another way, do I need a plug in or something to edit the files from the admin area?
