Hi Beyond

Thank you VERY VERY much! Your solution is exactly what I was looking for! I've waited a bit before replying, to test the modification over some days, but no problems whatsoever, excellent.

Thanks again, you really made my day. I wish I could by you a beer

Best regards,

Ross

Ok guys Ive treid one of these versions...
(aud's) and it doesnt seem to uh work...but then I thought about something...inserting the code for the checkbox.....
should that be within the form tag? No one mentioned specifically...
but it seems like it should be or am i wrong? If thats not it I dont know really why it wont work?

Again , looks promising.

Yes the code for the checkbox should be within the form tag, put it right after this:

<input type="hidden" name="xoops_redirect" value="<{$xoops_requesturi}>" />

More importantly, make sure you have set your cookie session to "custom" in your Admin Preferences -> General Settings -> Use custom session = YES, otherwise the hack won't work!

Btw, I tried Jan304's Login hack but for yours it should be the same.

Good luck

OK this seems useless, does it only work if the user does not log off?

It does not seem to be working. Are either of these hacks compatable with globals off. How com audrey's hack doesn't have a redirect and uses a change in kernal? What about the WHO's Onloine Block?

-Whew!- just wanted to get that all out before I lost track of what I was thinking

This promising feature does not seem to work...

Doesn't work on my system, either, and I've got everything set exactly as was described.

Same here. I had an autologin hack working briefly with 2.0.3 and lost it when I upgraded to 2.0.5. I then installed the most recent hack that was supposed to be for 2.0.5 (I'll call it the GI Joe hack --we need to start clarifying what hacks we're talking about) and it does not work for me. Everything is done exactly as instructed included setting sessions to "on".

What does work is to simply use the XOOPS core code for autologin by simply editing the commented-out autologin code back in. Just go here for instructions:http://wiki.xoops.org/wakka.php?wakka=XoopsAutoLoginHack

I can follow all of these steps except step 5???
I only seem to have the option to either view or download the blocks in the template manager. Am I overlooking something stupid here? Can I FTP a new version of this block instead?
Thanks in advance

ps. using XOOPS 2.0.10

No wait - I got it here:
https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=10078&forum=8
Comment by chapi - clone the blocks first and then go to the preferences section of admin and select the site to use the cloned templates.
Waow, you learn something new every day eigh...

Anyway, the hack is working great now! Thx
