News 1.67 - Suspension Reason: Excessive Resource Consumption

Hi All,

My hosting provider has Suspended my account due to "Suspension Reason: Excessive Resource Consumption", they have provide the below logs but it doesn't make sense to me. Anyone has issue with the news 1.67?

I cannot understand those numbers too.
1- your server should be more specific about your limits.
for example in my server i have these limits:
Quote:

Average Server Resource Limits
Memory usage may not exceed 10% per domain/file/application
CPU usage may not exceed 20% per domain/file/application
Apache connections may not exceed 30 connections
15 MySQL maximum user connections allowed
350 emails per hour, per domain


2- your server should recognize the percentage of CPU/MEM/MYSQL that a script used like
%CPU 99.2

I had once problems with the makepdf.php file, and had to disable it.

My host claimed that it was eating too much memory and generating too many queries. I didn't have time to look into it, but since I didn't really use it, I just disabled it.

Ask your host what was exactly the problem. They should be able to give you more details.

It seems in this case the server point news/article.php

about makepdf.php:

As i said before in the last 5 years i had issues with tcpdf using more resources that expected. so i disable it in news module.
but recently i add a group permission for pdf and print in newbb module so you can disable pdf just for anonymous group.

Hi Guys,

I couldn't pin point a particular module that was using "Excessive Resource", I don't think it was article.php. What I did was, unistalled/re-installed the some modules, dont ask which as I don't remember and it seem to solved it.
