Re: XOOPS 2.5.x Translations using Transifex

Any updates on work with Madfish script ?
does someone tried it ?

I and X modules got same structure in both places - Distributions and Transifex, so they should be fully functional, without changes.

Hi all,
if you feel able to translate, can you, the users of Xoops, help us to translate the Xoops core?

Here is where we are at:

Thank you in advance

I update the Persian language core 2.5.5 (remove all spaces) and will update On TX.
IMO Xoops translations:
1- need to be changed to INI, Gettext, ...
2- be plain text and be clean (removing all html, url, %s ...)
Then we as translators can proceed more.

In the other words, now we put precious time and clean it and then core team completely rewrite it in 2.6.0 to remove html, url, %s then we have to put more precious time to adopt it for 2.6.0
So if we have a clean 2.6.0 in the 6 months IMO why we should work more on 2.5.5

IMO all of us have many more important works to do.
Like:
regular users:
- test mdules
- debuging modules
- remove hardcodes from important modules
- send bugs and features
- promote Xoops
developers:
- develop the current modules like profile
- work on bugs, features, ...

I was not talking to you specifically, but to Xoops users.

If they want to translate, they will translate. You're not an entrepreneur who runs and tells who should do what.

Yes, that was just my opinions.
Also i just talk about complete translations (100%)
As for incomplete translations: they must be completed 100% i do not argue that.

When 2.5.6 comes out, then will be required updates....
INI for 2.6/2.7 if there are someone of the devs to discuss what's better and what for, just me, u, cesag and mamba are not enough to decide that.

Yeah, very true, Xoops 2.6.0 Alpha 1 should be released in July and now we are in the middle of August. As i said in the Roadmap comments 8 months for a stable 2.6 (now 7 months) is really a miracle.
core team wrote it is long but now we can see that march 2013 will come sooner than you expected!

It will be released this week or early next week. I am the guilty party here holding it back
As soon as I am done with zipping and testing, it will be officially released.
