You can count on me!

Let's start with a catalog of features that have to be present from Hervet's News, and with an import script.

Let's also catalog the features from AMS and xNews and Mastop Publish and MyWords that should be included, so we can develop a plan showing which ones will be included and when.

If somebody is aware of any features from other CMS solutions that you like, let's add them too.

That doesn't mean that they will be all included, but at least we can have an inventory of desired features that we could use as a roadmap.

The major challenge that I see for us, will be to keep it as simple and user friendly as possible, so first time users don't have any problems in using it.

Since I never could manage enebling url rewrite in fm/news module my suggestion is that it should look like this options to choose:

rootmode:
website/article-name.html
webiste/topic-name/article-name.html
website/static-topic/article-name.html

modulemode:
the same but with modules/news/...

Also, similar or related articles to show is a must.

Simple image gallery would be nice or bridge with popular xoops image galleries via somekind of plugin so [img=name/number.jpg] or something similar would be great.

Also option for sequel of article in case if it have 2 or more parts of the same story. Related articles is also standard nowadays :)
