Hello,

I think in the ZIP-archive is at least the following file missing:

/htdocs/modules/myalbum/admin/groupperm_global.php

I took it from the previous version 3.01 and it works fine.

Greetings from Germany
Dieter

One of this issues I'm having is not being able to assign a category when performing a batch add.

Another issue is that if I try to remove an image from any category I start getting the error "No input file specified."

Has anyone figured out how to remove/delete an image? All I get is a blank screen when I try.

This is a strange thread, starts out in the subject about myalbum 3.04, switches to 3.05 claiming it's solved when really the module simply does not work right at this point.

If someone would just give me a hint where to start I'm jumping in with both feet to figure out these two problems:

1) When you try to remove/delete a picture you get a blank white screen. I see nothing in my server's error logs, xoops inline debugging didn't offer any hints. Don't know where to look next.

2) When using the batch register form, where you point to a directory where files are already stored on the server, how can I add a field to the batch register form that let's me select the category to assign the batch of images to? I don't need a full answer, just a hint as to where to start looking.

EDIT: BTW, I don't mean to be spamming this thread. I've been poking around with extgallery and myalbum for a couple days non stop now and am just a little frustrated as neither seems to really work right.

Best regards,
Terrion

I agree terrion. Simon (Wishcraft) is a creative and very productive module developer, but too quick in presenting his modules as being final. Not good as presenting modules as final creates expectations, and in the end very frustrated xoops users...

I totally agree here with what you say about Simon...

Also is confusing when he releases a new version as his own and it has the same name...

What I feel is happening with Simon is that he, like all of us really, want the Blue Move of getting high quality modules stable on the newer version of Xoops. And maybe he just needs a little help, an assistant if you will, that would take the time to go through each and every tab and most if not all the various possible combinations for him.

And really, if he reasonably believes that a module works fully why shouldn't he post it as ready.

I think what the module developers need is some people like me that really want to learn more to step up in a kind of assistant role. And what better way to learn more about Xoops, template and themes, and php and mysql, than to work with a seasoned mod developer in a kind of one on one capacity.

Maybe part of the blue move initiative could create an emphasis of pairing seasoned coders with others in the community that are building Xoops sites in a kind of one on one relationship. I'm not suggesting anything formal, but something that is brought up as a good idea from time to time and encouraged.

It turns out that I've had occasion many months ago to communicate with Simon on a technical issue and he was awsome, responded to my request, and made me feel like I was the most important person in his life, for that moment. I know he's a great guy.

And I bet there are lots and lots of website developers that are long on ideas and content but struggle with haveing little raw coding skill like myself. Personally O would cherish the opportunity to work more closely with developers of the modules that I need but until just here recently I hadn't considered reaching out to Simon or anyone in the community to establish that kind of arrangement. I've been just posting my bug complaints and hoping for the best.

When you're in my shoes and desperately need something to work, and work right, it can be intimidating to reach out to the guys that actually write the code on a personal level. These forums really don't encourage that.

So anyway, I'd like to step up to become a kind of apprentice with the duty of helping debug modules.
