I created a runaway loop and can not log into my site to fix the issue.

The issue:

The default module for my site is set to the "news" module.

From the admin controls I changed the permissions on the news module to not allow anonymous user access.

I proceeded to log-out and now the site displays the "Sorry you do not have permissions to access this area" page.

What url can I use to log-in without having to access the main index page which is stuck is a loop?

apparently I have restricted the "profile" module from anonymous users as well and get the same loop.

Try disabling the news module from the database. Look in table xoops_modules set the field isactive to 0 for news record.

I fixed the issue by changing the config/startpage table in the d-base from "news" to "NULL". Thanks
