We have 3 top page custom blocks set to registered users and our other few groups, but still when we login, it doesnt go to that top page by default. I keep getting dumped into my profile page or forums page randomly.

Adding the possibility to choose specific start pages, rather than just modules, was in my plan for the next release...before work and kids got in the way two years ago. I don't have any hopes of doing a new version of this module anytime soon, but since it's not an overly complex module, it shouldn't be too hard to add this if someone wants to give it a go.
